Your profile
How to set up and manage your Dog Meet Dog profile, including dog profiles and visibility settings.
Profile basics
Your profile shows your name, location, a short bio, and your dog(s). Other owners see your profile when you appear in their Discover feed.
Editing your profile
Tap your avatar in the bottom nav, then Edit Profile. You can update:
- Display name and bio
- Location (manual or GPS-based)
- Outing preferences (casual, romantic, both)
- Visibility radius
Dog profiles
Each dog has its own card with photos, breed, size, age, and personality tags. Tap a dog card to edit. You can add up to five dogs per account.
Tips for great dog photos:
- Natural lighting, eye-level angle
- Show the dog's full body in at least one photo
- Action shots (running, playing) convey personality better than posed portraits
Visibility settings
- Discoverable — your profile appears in other owners' feeds
- Hidden — you can browse but others cannot see you
- Snooze — temporarily pause your profile (up to 30 days)
Toggle these in Settings → Visibility.
Account management
- Delete account — Settings → Account → Delete. This permanently removes your profile, dogs, matches, and messages.
- Export data — Settings → Account → Export. Downloads your profile data and message history as a JSON file.
