Dog Meets Dog

Account and legal

Manage account settings, continue an interrupted deletion, join the waitlist, and find legal and support links.

Account settings

Open Settings to:

  • Sign out
  • Permanently delete your account
  • Toggle notifications for matches, messages, park activity, and product updates
  • Turn on optional automatic check-in when you are within 200 m of your home park
  • Review blocked users and unblock them

Delete your account

Choose Settings → Delete Account, then confirm Delete Forever. The mobile confirmation states that deletion removes your profile, photos, matches, and messages permanently.

Deletion uses a two-stage server operation:

  1. The authenticated app prepares the deletion and receives a recovery receipt.
  2. The server purges owner and dog photo storage, removes the account data, and finalizes the operation.

The operation reports prepared, purging, or complete. The app keeps the receipt private and uses it to reconcile status even if the authentication session disappears during deletion.

Deletion recovery window

If the request is interrupted, the app stays on a recovery-only Settings screen instead of reopening ordinary account views. Reconnect and choose Continue Deletion to retry. When the server reports completion, choose Finish Signing Out so the device can clear its expired local session.

This is a continuation window for an in-progress deletion, not an undo period: the product source does not define a number of days during which a completed delete can be reversed. Once deletion is complete, the account data is not restored by the recovery screen.

Join the waitlist

The public website has a Join the waitlist form. Enter a valid email address and submit it without signing in. The waitlist router normalizes the email to lowercase, accepts a repeated address as an idempotent success, and returns an error for other storage failures.

The form says the team will let you know when Dog Meets Dog opens near you.

Launch status

The web homepage says the map is ready for San Francisco and that the app ships soon. The park launch surface currently labels the platforms as:

  • iOS — Coming Soon
  • Android preview — an Expo preview build link

Use the waitlist while the public launch is pending.

The product's legal pages are:

The mobile age gate links to these same /legal/terms and /legal/privacy paths before you continue. The terms require users to be at least 18 and state that the service does not screen or verify users.

Contact support

Support addresses currently differ by product surface:

This is a product-side contact discrepancy. Use the address shown by the surface where you need help, and include whether the issue occurred on mobile, web, or another surface.
