Finding matches
How to browse, match, chat, and plan outings with other dog owners.
Discover
The Discover feed shows nearby dog owners based on your distance radius and preferences. Each card shows:
- Owner name and distance
- Dog photo(s), breed, and size
- Outing style tags (casual / romantic / both)
- Compatibility indicators (matching dog sizes, shared outing style)
Swipe right to like, left to pass. Tap a card to view the full profile.
Matching
When two owners like each other, it is a match. You will both receive a notification and can start chatting immediately.
Super Like
One free Super Like per day. A Super Like notifies the other owner that you liked them before they see your profile — useful for standing out in busy areas.
Chatting
Matches open a private chat. You can:
- Send text messages and photos
- Share your dog's profile card
- Propose a meetup time and location
- Exchange contact info when you are ready (optional)
Messages are end-to-end encrypted. You can unmatch at any time from the chat menu, which deletes the conversation for both parties.
Planning outings
From a chat, tap Plan Outing to propose:
- Activity — park walk, playdate, group meetup, coffee + dogs
- Location — pick a dog-friendly spot on the map or suggest your own
- Time — propose a date and time; the other owner can accept or counter
Accepted outings appear in your Outings tab with a countdown and map directions.
